How it works |
- The IXUS 200 IS is the latest touchscreen compact camera and is fresh out of the Canon kitchens
- As you well know, Canon has always been pretty good at coming up with winners when it comes to their IXUS compact camera range... and the Canon IXUS 200 IS is another very beautiful string to add to this already rather fabulous bow.
- The most outstanding feature has to be the screen on the back. Not only is it one of the larger screens you will see on any of the compacts out there, but this widescreen monitor is a touchscreen... and while you will still find a lot of the usual buttons with which to get full operation from your camera, the touchscreen icons give you quick and easy access to a number of seriously useful applications.
- For example, if you use the Touch AF on the screen while you are shooting, the camera will cleverly lock on and track the subject you want... and changing shooting modes, flash settings and exposure are all literally at your fingertips.
- And reviewing your work is a breeze too - all you have to do is drag your finger across the screen to quickly scroll through your shots.
- But what about the picture quality? Well, we are pleased to say that tech critic, Dave Stevenson of TechRadar found the image quality to be excellent. He explained that this is because this camera uses '... the same DIGIC 4 processor as the Canon 5D MKII, and (their) test images were superb'
