What do I do?
1. Simply choose the lowest price that
you think that
no one else
will offer and enter it as your bid.
2. Once the preset maximum number of bids have all been placed, the auction will
then automatically be drawn, and if yours is the lowest unmatched (i.e. unique)
bid, then you can purchase the item from us for the low price you have offered.
3. As soon as one auction is closed another will be opened. So if you don't win first
time round, there will be lots more chances to bid again and choose that winning
bid.
-
Buy products at a fraction of their retail price!
-
Excellent 'odds' of winning (i.e. we have a limited number of competing bids).
-
All products are brand new, with manufacturer's guarantee.
What is a 'lowest unique bid'?
A 'lowest unique bid' is the lowest bid placed, that no one else matches.
For example:
Bid 1: £1.00
Bid 2: £1.00
Bid 3: £2.00
Bid 4: £2.00
Bid 5: £2.00
>> Bid 6: £3.00 <<
Bid 7: £5.00
Bid 8: £6.00
Bid 9: £6.00
In the above example, the winning bid is £3.00 because it is the lowest bid, which
no one else has offered.

What is your business model? How do you make money?
This is a promotion to persuade
you to try using the Auctionair sealed bid system. We earn income from the entry
fees from bidding. Our costs are advertising and promotion, web site build &
maintenance, sales & fulfilment plus the loss we take on the winning item. The
Low bid cannot sell large volumes of Lots, so we set the number of bids required
to cover our costs. Over 40% of our customers bid again, often using our other bidding
systems. It is the repeat business from those customers that really sustains us
and generates our sustainable profits. So if you do bid, persuading you to come
back again is very important to us.

How do I keep track of my bids?
You will open an account in order to bid and you can see the status of your bids
on your account page when you log in again. We will also email you the final results
of the auction once all the winners have been finalised. (This is usually about
4 days after the close.)
